De-stash your fabric drawer, find new fabric and pattern treasures, meet other sewing bees and enjoy a cuppa & cake whilst supporting West London Days for Girls charity. Come along on Sunday 19 October from 3 pm to 5.30 pm at Northfields Community Centre in Ealing for some environmentally-friendly fabric shopping and swapping. Ealing Repair Cafe will also be there to inspire and teach people how to fix their clothes and textiles.
For the fabric you bring along, you will receive tokens (or you can buy tokens) which can be used to exchange for new fabric treasures. All welcome and you do not have any fabric to swap, you can still buy tokens for fabric.
Bring cash or card to purchase patterns, cake and buy top up tokens to pay for new fabric treasures.

Fabric Swap & Sale Details
- Date: Sunday 19 October. From 3 pm – 5.30 pm
- Location: Northfields Community Centre, 71A Northcroft Rd, Ealing, London W13 9SS.
- Entry: £3 per person on the day or book online at £2 per person on Eventbrite (available until Wednesday 15 October. Book here
- Optional Fabric Drop: 12 October from 2 pm – 4 pm at Northfields Community Centre.
For the Fabric Swap and Sale event, please bring along:
- Fabric donations that you have measured and marked with masking tape the length & width and folded into a neat bundle, taped in place. No fabric smaller than A4 and no pins please but safety pins are fine.
- Sewing patterns to donate (in exchange for tokens to swap for fabric)
- Bag to take all your new found fabric and other items.
- Loved garments and clothes in need of repair: Ealing Repair Cafe will be at hand to teach you how to mend and extend the life of your clothes.
Tea and cake will also be for sale. Ealing Repair cafe will also be there with all our mending equipment so pop along and say hi. Bring along your clothes mending pile and you can have a chat, advice and a quick mending lesson over a cup of tea and cake.
Proceeds raised will go to the local Ealing & West London Days for Girls groups to buy specialised fabric to sew reusable menstrual kits for Days for Girls charity.
