Fabric Swap and Sale

Join us for some environmentally-friendly fabric shopping and swapping.

Come along and get some lovely fabric at Days for Girls sale and swap on Sunday 23 April 3pm until 5.30pm, at Northfields Community Centre, Ealing. Bring cash and as much or as little fabric you want to swap, as there is always plenty of fabric to chose from. Meet other sewing enthusiasts, join in mending with Ealing Repair cafe while enjoy a cup of tea and cake.

For the fabric you bring along, you will receive tokens (or you can buy tokens) which can be used to exchange for fabric treasures and sewing patterns. There will be a £2 cash entry and all profits go to Days for Girls. Full details on the Facebook event.

Tea and cake will also be for sale raising money for Days for Girls. Ealing Repair cafe will be there with all our mending equipment so pop along and say hi. Bring along your clothes mending pile and you can have a chat, advice and a quick mending lesson over a cup of tea and cake. The last fabric sale in 2022 was a great event, raising £320 for the Days for Girls charity with a lovely variety of fabric and patterns.

Please bring along:

• Fabric with the length measured (along the selvedge and marked on a bit of masking tape on the corner of the fabric). You’ll will receive tokens in exchange for this fabric which you can use to exchange for new fabric and/or patterns.
• Patterns for which you will receive tokens.
• Coins/cash as at the sale you’ll be able to buy top-up tokens, raffle tickets, tea and cake.
• Tricky mends & loved garments in need of repair: We will be at hand to teach you how to mend and extend the life of your clothes.

All proceeds raised on the day will go to the local Ealing & West London Days for Girls https://www.daysforgirls.org/ to buy fabric to sew reusable menstrual kits for the charity.
